About

I am a data scientist born and raised in the Northern Virginia/Washington, D.C. area who aims to translate data into impact and results.

With a previous background in environmental science and policy, I believed in creating tangible policy to make a difference in the world to conserve, preserve, and protect our environment now and in the future. With an abrupt change in my career being laid off at what I thought was my dream job to work in the environmental policy and sustainability field. After much soul searching and endless job applications, I saw the developing, in-demand and growing field of data science. I saw the similarities between policy and data science. Policy is created to make a difference in the world and unlocking the power of data can help influence decision-making and solve problems. Thus, I made the choice to pursue a career change to data science.

With the growth of AI and machine learning, I believe we can unlock even more value and potential from data and make a difference in the world.
